Whitfield County Convenience Centers and Landfill will be opening at the delayed time of 9:00 a.m. due to inclement weather. These locations include;

-OLD DIXIE LANDFILL & CONVENIENCE CENTER

-MCGAUGHEY CHAPEL CONVENIENCE CENTER IN COHUTTA

-WESTSIDE CONVENIENCE CENTER IN ROCKY FACE

-M.L. KING BLVD. CONVENIENCE CENTER IN DALTON

Landfill, Convenience Centers To Be Closed for Labor Day

Four Dalton-Whitfield Solid Waste Authority facilities will be closed on Monday, September 2, 2024 in observance of Labor Day. Locations include the Old Dixie Landfill & Convenience Center, McGaughey Chapel Convenience Center, Westside Convenience Center, and the M.L. King Convenience Center.

Saturday, August 31, 2024 - All Locations Open - Normal Hours (7:00 am – 3:00 pm)

MLK Temporarily Closed Due to Repairs

DWSWA convenience center M.L. King Blvd Convenience Center will be closed on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 due to necessary repairs. It will reopen on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, normal hours.

All other locations are open normal hours including the Old Dixie Landfill & Convenience Center and McGaughey Chapel Convenience Center in Cohutta.

Facilities are open Monday to Friday 7 am to 6 pm, and Saturday 7 am to 3 pm unless noted below:
